Creative Writing

Read monthly publications of creative writing by members of the BS13 community here.

Due to start April 2020, postponed.

We are making space every Monday for you to explore a wide range of writing styles, build confidence, gain support, meet published authors and have fun at our new Creative Writing Group, kindly supported by Bristol Libraries Innovation Fund.

The group is for 14+ to adults and will be on a Monday evening from 7pm-8.30pm at Bishopsworth Library. Sessions are FREE to attend. This includes exciting opportunities work with published authors and to have your own writing published online here as well as in a printed anthology to be held at the library.

Absolute beginners to experienced writers are equally welcome. Solo parents are welcome to bring children if required. Please let us know if you need to bring children by emailing or call 079866 654968 in advance.

Over the months we will explore working in a wide range of styles including: writing for children and young adults, poetry, writing for spoken word performance, scriptwriting, novellas of various genres including historical fiction and thrillers, journalism, sketch writing, song lyrics and biography.

Sessions will begin when non-essential groups are permitted to meet again. Updates will be posted here and on Facebook.
